A masonry render system can be used for smoothing and texturing brick or concrete block to give a monolithic plastered appearance.

The plaster provides a hard durable surface which, when painted, is weatherproof and easier to maintain than a standard painted wall. The concrete block or brick forms the structural element of the wall.
